viewing photos from a PC

I want to view, on the Tivo, photos stored on my PC. I had high hopes for Plex, got it working, but it jams after stepping through a few photos, can't go forward or back, have to go back to the top of the app's menu system and start over. So it's basically useless.

My understanding is that Tivo Desktop turned to mummy dust a long time ago and is no longer an option.

Is there, after all these years, anything that actually works?
