No thread? I figured with the introduction of Ted Grant, and the assistant named Gerry Conway someone would have posted by now. (Ted Grant is Wildcat, Black Canary's first mentor, in the comics, although he was an older boxer in the comics. Gerry Conway was a comic writer from the '70's and '80's.)
