i accidentally had two season passes for a "wish list" search (by title, i believe). a few shows have recorded for these wish lists and now they appear twice in my shows. each "folder" has each of the shows. so for example, "SHOW A [folder 1]" has episodes 1,2,3,4 and "SHOW A [folder 2]" has episodes 1,2,3,4.
my question is wheter tivo actually retains two full copies of each show, or whether each folder "links" to the one full copy of a show. the latter method would take up less disk space, obviously. but also wondering if i delete one whether i'd still retain the other.
what about tuners when you have this situation-- are two tuners used or is tivo smart enough to use only one? this is not too important in the case of accidentally creating two wish lists, but rather a case where you may have overlapping interests, such as two wish lists that record separate actors. you may not want to use two tuners (and keep two full recordings) if the actors overlap in a movie.
