Premiere 4 freezes trying to record specific channel

Premiere 4 has scheduled recording of Comcast programs, and fails to record. Other channels being recorded on other tuners on same DVR at same time without problems.



Sometimes get a V53 error, sometimes recording history says it didn't record because it couldn't get a signal, but most of time it looks like it is recording with no problem. When I look at the recording, it shows the timer stuck at 0, but the red light on as if it is recording. I can see the program which looks fine, but the DVR is stuck trying to record. Only way out I've found is to restart Tivo. Signal looks fine thru Tivo and also looking at Comcast without Tivo. Signal strength is fine, and close to 0 errors reported. Other TV on Premiere can record same channel without problem, with about the same signal strength, so it doesn't look like a Comcast signal strength problem.



Happened a few weeks ago and spent a few hours online with Tivo help, who looked at a bunch of stuff with no problems, and then had me do a Smart disk test for some 9 hours, which turned out fine.



Any thoughts?



Premiere 4 out of warranty. If an actual Tivo hardware problem, 1st time any problem but disks over many years through 3 Series 1, 2 HDs with new disks, and now a Premiere and Premiere 4.
