This might be only applicable to those who can receive NBC Bay Area channel, as it's apparently their production. It was narrated by Peter Coyote.
Anyone watch?
I'd been seeing ads for a lot (like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbOdCCiPgaA), and as a techie, I had to record it and check it out. Although it was fairly high level, I enjoyed it.
I didn't know that a Stanford professor Terman (http://ift.tt/1ItDpyX) was the one who encouraged Hewlett and Packard to go into business together, who then formed HP.
The 1932 Palo Alto and The Birth of Silicon Valley videos at http://ift.tt/1ItDqTC talk about the above and were clips from the ep.
I wonder if we would've had a Silicon Valley if Terman died of TB or if Silicon Valley would've been in/around some other part of the US, if he chose to go elsewhere.
They also did talk to the project lead of the first microprocessor, the Intel 4004 (http://ift.tt/rXMX0Y).
I wonder if it'll be aired anywhere else any/or make it to disc format or streaming services (e.g. Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, etc.)
I also didn't realize this was episode 3 of the series.
