GSOD (green screen of death)

Have a Tivo Premiere TCD746320 that's generating the green screen of death. Bought a new hard drive and cloned it from the old one using Ubuntu Rescue Remix and ddrescue. New drive generates same GSOD. Attempted a kickstart 57 without a successful outcome.

I do have a working Premiere with a larger hard drive. Is there a way to copy the image from it to the smaller drive?
