Fun, dramatic ending to a really good freshman season.
I enjoyed Major Rambo dishing out zombie justice. The sequence was somewhat preposterous but well done.
David Anders was great fun as Blaine all season and they've found a clever way to keep him around for next year.
I didn't see that coming with Liv's brother. Not the explosion, but rather how he would end up fitting into the zombie narrative. When he first went into Meat Cute for a job, I thought he'd end up being more of a hostage or something. Instead we get the sad drama of the very end, where Liv has to let her brother die. Obviously she learned her lesson from playing God with Major's life.
Glad that Major acted as a proxy for the viewers in spelling out why Liv was wrong for not telling him about her, given what the secret did to him.
And his trouble isn't over yet. Clive's on the case!
A very satisfying finale, in my book.
Over at Hitfix, Alan Sepinwall has a post-season interview with Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright. Good stuff as always from Rob T. Note that he makes some general comments about season two plotlines.
