Sense8 (S01E12) "I Can't Leave Her"

The whole "men can't stand seeing beautiful cars hurt" thing was rather amusing, but it's just gotta be one of those silly ideas one comes up with and then finds some way to use it somewhere. I seem to recall there were a lot of such things in Babylon 5 so I'll go out on a limb and suggest it likely was a JMS scene. :) Funny, though. Especially when Will was running through the couple of parked cars at the building entrance and nobody cared, as they were dumbstruck by the "burning" one-year-old.

There seemed to be a weak point here in this episode... the whole "avoid the helicopter by driving into the fog" still leaves one with a single road that is more or less a straight line. Not to mention that there seemed to be little or no fog beyond where they went into it after bottom-swiping the helicopter.

They did a great job showing the escape from the building and how everyone contributed to it and were pretty careful always to show Will involved in the action even as it first would appear Will was doing one thing and the other cluster members were doing something different (doing as in something requiring physical interaction).

One thing every episode has done is made me have really focus on what's going on when action is taking place. It's much more participatory than the typical sit-back-and-watch-it-unfold action stuff on movies or television shows.

I'm curious what a second season will bring. One of the fateful plot problems in many shows is making some character too all-powerful and then not having an easy way around it except to suddenly make other characters all-powerful, and then it just becomes one silly add-on power after another. And I wonder if having a sensate in a different cluster being able to "see where you are" just by having looked in their eyes isn't going to turn out to be something all too powerful to overcome without making a mess of the storylines.

No doubt I'm going to watch the whole thing again very soon, though. There's so much intricate stuff I feel is there to be seen on additional viewings.
