Got in the mood to rewatch The Lost Room mini-series again. That is a good show.
For those who haven't heard of The Lost Room, it is a 4.5 hour scifi show from 2006 or so. No spaceships, no aliens, just present-day people caught up in a sub-culture of being "object" hunters who obsess/war over everyday-looking "objects" that have weird powers - some of which are VERY useful/desireable, but many of which are not. Almost all hunters have an opinion as to what the objects are, but only one person has the power to open that location - and many hunters are willing to do anything to take that power.
You can get the DVD of The Lost Room from Amazon for about $10 or so. There should be two DVDs in the set, and it should be wide-screen. Includes a Making Of... extra.
Or you can get it immediately from Amazon Instant Video. Three episodes, 90 minutes each, $2.99 per episode for HD, $1.99 per episode for SD. No extra.
If you enjoy Twilight Zone-like shows, or present-day setting scifi-ish shows, you'll be well entertained.
