I am wondering if there is a setting in Tivo to require the pressing of Enter key in order to change a directly entered channel or at least require 3 digits be entered before changing channels.
I have run into this many times where I have paused a show(usually a sporting event) where I am now watching it with up to 30 minute delay.
While reaching for the remote, I accendentally press one of the number keys, somes unknowingly, and a few seconds later Tivo jumps to that (usually unavailable) channel. It is easy to jump back to my channel with Last button, but I now lost all the delay and now watching live.
I rarely even enter the direct channel number since it is so quick to go thru the guide for me.
