TiVo Roamio Plus HDMI Port Problem

I have a TiVo Roamio Plus with a basic setup of HDMI running out of the box and into one of the HDMI ports on my Samsung. Came home from work one day and turned on the TV and screen dialog read that there was no input from HDMI1 port. TiVo light was on indicating power and remote control presses made the light blink. I then went into another room with a TiVo Mini hooked up and saw I could watch shows recorded, live TV, etc. so I knew the Roamio itself was working OK. Powered it on and off multiple times, switched HDMI cables and ports to rule out a bad cable or port on the TV, all no joy. So I called TiVo and went through it all they said they would replace it (only 2 months old). I can ship this one back and go without TV until I get my new one or I can buy a new one, they will ship it to me, then I return the old one and get my money back for the new one ("Throw me the idol, then I throw you the whip!").

Has this happened to anyone else? Since my call with them the HDMI port started working again, stopped, and started once again. It seems like I've read in the past they are buggy.
