I have a roamio and a mini coming monday. I was going to run an ethernet cable today from my living room (roamio) to my upstairs bedroom (mini).
There are two pipes going up the wall alongside the living room tv that feed my bedroom radiator. I figured I'd wire tie the ethernet cable to the backside of one of these pipes as there is already a hole in the ceiling that I can then fish a wire thru into the bedroom.
Its summer and I dont know which pipe is the water return that might run cooler than the other? But then on second thought I now worry that the pipe might melt the cable?
I suppose I can buy a plastic channel at lowes like I did for my wall mounted speakers and stick it to the wall, but I rent and want to do as little damage as possible, The glue usually takes the paint off when trying to remove anything stuck to the walls.
Any harm if the cable touches the radiator pipe which it might also do when it snakes thru the ceiling?
Suggestions? Thx
