Premiere slide remote with roamio in bluetooth mode

I just replaced my premiere with a roamio. I would like to use the original version (non pro) of the slide remote in bluetooth mode with the roamio but can't figure out how to pair it. It works fine in IR mode. All the instructions I've found seem to pertain only to the pro slide remote. Do I even need this bluetooth USB dongle or is it built into the roamio?
