In the last few weeks I have noticed the same issue on two live sporting events. I am not sure if it is limited to live events though.
I am watching the recording of the sporting event which was live when broadcast, and the screen freezes. first assumption was that the source frooze, and if I just waited, it would resume.
This didnt not occur, as I could watch the playboack in its frozen state for quite sometime and it wont start back up. I can also "fast foward" during the freeze, and it doesnt start to run again.
However, if I hit the 30 second advance, it starts up again. I can then rewind, hit play, and it will freeze at the exact same place, and repeat the above behavior.
From what I can tell, not much time was lost.
For now I will continue to see how often this occurs, and if it occurs on anything other than live TV, or if that is jsut a coincidence.
