I've got a TiVo mini setup using MoCA here communicating back to my Bolt, and the throughput seems good, much better than Powerline at this particular location in the house.
My question, then, is can I bridge MoCA to Ethernet using the TiVo Mini at this location? I tried just plugging it in to a switch, but (a) devices plugged into the switch wouldn't get an IP from the router and (b) the Mini eventually complained about this (likely to avoid accidental loops!).
Is there a secret handshake to get the Mini to allow this?
