Can TiVo Plex app be triggered from client?

I've really grown to love Plex on my TiVo as I've now migrated much of my saved content from my physical TiVo to my NAS and view it through the TiVo Plex app. That said, my only gripe is that I have to start Plex manually on my TiVo in order to fling content from my iOS devices, where's I can fling YouTube or Netflix content from my iOS devices to my TiVo Roamio or Mini by simply clicking on the little box up at the top of the app.

Anyone know why we can't do this with Plex or if there is a work around?
