I often switch back and forth between 2 or maybe 3 channels when watching live TV. Unfortunately, when doing so, I lose the 30 minute live buffer and can't go back to see what I missed. This happens even when nothing is recording and 6 tuners are available.
Is it possible to tell Tivo to stay on a channel and create a buffer when I flip to another channel? My cable company's DVR does this automatically. I've forced the issue by hitting the record button on the channels I'm watching but that creates a cleanup chore and doesn't allow me to be impulsive at all.
