This is my first post, though I've been reading the forums for years for DirecTV TiVo info. We're planning to switch from DirecTV to FIOS in the next few weeks. We intend to buy a Roamio Pro and 2 Minis to replace a THR22, HR34 and 2 clients.
I expect I'll have many more questions, but here's the first:
If I use a FIOS STB - HD receiver, no DVR - rather than a CableCard, will the TiVo have access to the VOD library?
Verizon's website mentions using a STB rather than a CableCard, but gives few details. I know the STB monthly fee will be more than the CableCard, but it may be worth it to us. I like being able to download VOD overnight to watch when I want. The STB would also allow us to watch live TV in the event of TiVo problems.
I hope someone here can answer this.
