Replace hard drive but now will not record

I was able to get and image as hard drive was completely dead. Tivo now works perfectly except it will not record.

Was able to pair cable card, etc. But when hit record button get menu but the red light will not go on and will not record.

Have unplugged and plugged back in but no help.

Any help much appreciated.
