What service do you use to watch locally stored media?

I thought I would create a quick survey to see what services people use and whether they are interested in Plex or will stay with the community developed PyTiVo / Streambaby solutions.


We do know there are currently drawbacks to Plex, including

• 720p resolution. (future update will increase this)
• "Streaming services trick play"
• Won't play .tivo files

We know there a drawbacks to PyTiVo / Streambaby -

• complicated setup
• old SD screens.
• No remote access of content
