Screen Capture

I'm not sure what forum to post this in... I feel like technology today is way too advanced to not be able to do this, but I can't find anything online other than complicated procedures... I want to be able to quickly and easily capture what is currently on my tv screen to an image file for my computer. Is there really no easy way to do this? =( I don't want to watch on my computer, I just want to grab what's on the screen to an image :-/ Thanks.
