I dropped cable in December and am strictly OTA and streaming now. My local PBS station is much lower power than the major network stations and the OTA reception is marginal on anything other than a calm, clear day. We watch a lot of PBS and I can stream recent shows but it seems they only stay online a week or two.
If I can get a "double play" cheap enough from Comcast, I may sign up for cable again. If that gets me a DVR, I won't really need the Tivo. (I am assuming they'll make me take a DVR so they can get the extra $10/month). So my question is, if I let my Tivo subscription lapse after my initial one year commitment and decide to drop cable again in the future, can I re-instate my Tivo subscription without penalty?
