I'd like to try a clean image on my Premiere because I feel there is corruption on my HD. It continues to have issues.

I've done a pretty indepth HD test, and nothing is wrong with it and I continue to have issues.

Can't watch shows at online.tivo.com

I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious but I can't figure out for the life of me how to watch shows that I've recorded through online.tivo.com. I'm using a Tivo Roamio Pro and have it setup to stream to the iPhone and iPad apps with no problem. But when I view the shows on online.tivo.com I don't see any sort of "play" or "watch" button.

Is there a reason I'd be able to watch on the apps but not through a browser? If it seems like I'm missing something that should be easy, maybe...

I'm starting a thread that I don't really expect to get much action, only to remind folks that this series has started again. Thank goodness for DVR memory, because it came as a pleasant surprise to see this recorded.

I learned about this show from TCF, so thanks for that. It's a sweet-natured comedy (and thank god no laugh track or "sweetened" live audience).

Watched the first episode and my wife noted about 5 LOL moments. That's about all you can ask for in a comedy.

I have a launch Tivo Premiere with lifetime that's served me well over the years however recently it's started to have an odd issue. Over the last couple of weeks, the picture quality output by my Premiere has degraded severely (looking pixelated, almost interlaced) and the only fix seems to be a restart. Streaming not working with iOS?

I have Wave Broadband and with one of their service techs and TIVO service on the line, I got confirmation from TIVO service that there is an issue streaming (same wifi network) to IOS devices. I don't have any other information other than "we are working on it" . It has been 3 weeks without this capability and about to move on.

Anyone else have this issue? Any update on a fix date?

Surprise. The writing is cheesy and the acting is mediocre.

But at least everybody is incredibly good-looking.

This has the potential to achieve the badosity of Under the Dome/Zoo, which is quite a feat.

Another reminder why I so rarely watch network shows anymore. TV's "new golden age" has left them far, far behind.

Sorry to bother, but my Premiere XL (TCD748000) died yesterday (I think from power outage...it is stuck on "Welcome...starting up" and makes a loud noise). I thought it was the fan, but the fan is blowing nicely. So I've come to the conclusion it's the hard drive. I'm happy to go to Fry's to get a new hard drive, and follow instructions I have found online, but I cannot find the ISO for the TCD748000 anywhere. Would someone happen to know where I can find one?

Weird. I just got the recent software update on my Roamio Basic, so I don't know if this is related or not.

When I try to launch the Xfinity OnDemand app, I get the following pop-up message:

Years ago, I bought my parents a TiVo series 2 with a gift lifetime subscription. I visited them recently and they never took it out of the box. I had included a printed copy of the e-mail with the gift code inside the box. I tried setting it up but the code doesn't fit the activation screen. I called TiVo and they said they will not activate a series 2 or give me credit to use it with a new model. I don't fault my parents for never activating it. They are old and didn't understand...

Did anyone else watch The Mist premiere? I kindof loved it.

There are plenty of things that are off and silly but still found it fun summer scare fare.

The movie has always been one of my favorite Stephen King film adaptations (I rematched it last fall when I heard several of the actors were in The Walking Dead).

Are 4TB Bolts recommended?

I've been reading a lot of posts and it seems to suggest 4TB Bolts using Seagate drives (STDR4000100/ST4000LM016) are risky and unrealiable, especially depending on which firmware you get.

1) Are they still unreliable or are the ones shipping today have new enough firmware as to not be a problem? In other words, is the drive worth using or will be a headache I'll regret months/years from now?

2) Are there any other Bolt recommended drivers for 4TB or higher? I saw the 5TB BarraCuda...

Just bought a 500GB Bolt w/ Lifetime (TiVo "Whiteout" event, $450 total) to replace my Premiere Elite. Planning to replace the 500GB HD with a larger (2-3 GB) one prior to putting the unit in service.

I broke down and took advantage of the summer blow out sale to buy a new Bolt+. Overall it seems to be a great machine, except that I am getting frequent flashes of pixelation artifacts... occurring about every 15-30 seconds. At first I thought it was a tuner problem. I read that the tuners on the Bolt+ are very sensitive. Since the signal strength on most of my channels come in at 98-100%, and SNRs are running 39-41dB, I tried using a 3dB attenuator that didn't seem to help at all... so I...

Netflix poor quality

Has anybody seen poor/inconsistent picture quality on Netflix Tivo app in the past several weeks? My Roamio ethernet is hard wired to a 10Gbps switch, and ISP speed is 65Mbps. Other devices on the same switch see full port speed and full internet speed. However, Netflix quality is extremely variable. Starts out ok, then drops very low every few minutes, then back to good quality. Used to be good for hours at a time in months prior.

I've had my original Bolt and 2 mini's for over a year. Great stuff. Better picture than the DVR from Optimum. Which I was surprised to see. At any rate I got the first year subscription free and just started the new 1 year in Feb.

I see they have a good deal on the Bolt+ All-in and I have run into problems not having enough tuners on the original Bolt. So it seems like a good investment for the long-term.

My new bolts remote frequently has long delays as well as frequent double presses after a single button press. I haven't wall-mounted my bolt yet i don't know if that has a chance of improving problem. Im wall mounting Bolt so I can keep the lid off and keep my bolt silent. Is there other troubleshooting I can do?

Why is it that a two plus hour long movie can be downloaded from Netflix in 9 minutes flat while the TiVo app on Android cannot download the same length in five hours? And that is IF it doesn't kick out one of its frequent error messages? I'm doing both of these in my home whilst sitting next to the router with high speed and strong signal. Come on TiVo!!!

Apparently 20.7.1 has major HDMI issues

I was told there is a major issue with 20.7.1 and numerous folks have called in stating that some time after the update when the Bolt reboots, they lose HDMI.
Some lose signal entirely, some lose sound, some have a very poor picture/sound afterwards. I still get picture if I let my TV sit for almost a minute when I switch HDMI ports to the Bolt. Seems like it could be an HDMI handshake issue. I tried a Panasonic and Samsung TV.

I need to replace the cooling fan in my Roamio basic DVR and from what I understand it is the same fan that is used in the Roamio OTA model also.

Has any one found a good source and what model # and where did you buy it from?

Mini loses connection repeatedly

Recently, our Mini started repeatedly losing connection to our Roamio. Usually when watching live TV, (but sometimes during streaming a recording), it will fail with 'Lost Connection - V87'. This sometimes corresponds to a 'C133 - Temporary Service Connection failure' error on the main menu. When this happens, simply hitting 'OK' and going back to Live TV works.

This happens as often as every 30 seconds or so, which makes it pretty unusable. But streaming Netflix, etc. works fine.

Tivo Series 3 - Bad capacitors in power supply

Word of warning... It appears that Tivo has used a power supply in the Series 3 units that has bad capacitors. My series 3 went down last week and being well out of warranty (I jumped on the Series 3 upgrade promotion) I opened the case. The first obvious issue was the Capxon (known bad capacitor vendor) brand capacitor bulging and starting to leak.

I wonder how many other Series 3 units are experiencing this problem.

Are there recommended eSATA enclosures for an 8TB drive? With eSATA being slower than current USB options, the newer devices don't seem to support it. I have seen references to older devices in a few threads but those devices do not report compatibility with an 8TB drive. Please help me program Pioneer AV Input with Bolt Remote

I am unable to program the Pioneer Input to the Input button on Bolt Remote, a feat I had achieved years ago on the old Tivo remote. Everytime I try to program it, it changes the inputs on my Pioneer TV.

I have a Series 2 DVR with FIOS-TV from Verizon. Suddenly, the DVR cannot change channels anymore. I am using the serial port to connect to the Motorola STB and have had no problem for months. A coworker told me about this show. It is essentially like Cops but is aired live on Friday and Saturday nights on A&E. The show usually follows about 4-5 different police departments live and they bounce around between departments/officers where there is something interesting going on.

Bolt Plus issue: No lights and no video outpout

Hello, so my Bolt+ is powering on when I plug it in (I hear the fan and the hard drive spool up) but there are no lights on the front of the device and no video output. I've tried cold booting it (removing the cable card, Ethernet, coax and AC power for 30 minutes) with no luck. Does this sound like a power supply issue? Does anybody have any ideas on how to resolve the issue?

Figured I'd start a thread for these "parts" since I didn't want to post about them in the previous thread about 1 and 2.

I watched 3 on the premiere night and WOW, just how WEIRD that opening sequence was. Totally indulgent just for what equates to "Cooper escapes back to Earth/reality" but I can't get it out of my head!

Dougie Smith certainly was unexpected. Are there other Cooper decoys out there? What was he a decoy for? How long's he been around (long enough to have a family).

By the way, if you're a Showtime subscriber, episodes 3 and 4 are now available via their streaming apps or a Showtime add-on subscription via Amazon Prime or Hulu.

I can't wait to see what else Lynch has in store for us.

WMP plays mpeg2 .tivo but only audio for h.264 .tivo videos (why?)

Running Win10. I recently re-installed Desktop 2.8.3 and that got the mpeg2 .tivo files playing correctly in WMP, but h.264 .tivo files play only the audio.

Note: My cable co doesn't broadcast any h.264 channels so the only way I have to create a h.264 .tivo file is saving a .mpeg2 .tivo with VRD TvSuite 5 using the h.264 .tivo Output Profile. Personally I have no interest in h.264 .tivo files at all, other than for testing my program VAP, link in signature.

There are several repeat episodes of "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath" in the guide, there are also a few new airings of a special called "Leah Remini: Scientology & the Aftermath" in the guide.
Apparently that new ampersand is pretty important, deserving it's own SeriesId.

There is a NEW "sneak peek" airing on 5/23, with the full version of this special airing on 5/29. Hopefully they will fix it at least before the full episode airs.

During the intro, with the different music, my wife asked me "what is this song?".

I said that I didn't recognise it, but she googled the lyrics and found out it was from Perfect Strangers. We were so confused, but also less surprised when Mark Linn-Baker showed up.

Anyhow, now we know for sure where Lily went. I was actually glad it was a pretty conventional plot line.

concerning the HDMI issue a lot of us are experiencing...

I spoke with Tivo support tonight via chat. They told me there is no ETA for the patch to fix this, but they are working on it. I made it clear I was very disappointed to hear that. He made these suggestions:

1. Reboot your Tivo by unplugging for 15 seconds.
2. change HDMI cords.
3. change the HDMI input on your TV to a different input.

According to him, these things usually work. I am trying them out.

att/D*TV running TV commercials again pitching TiVo's DVR.
Thought that they didn't have anymore in stock.
Guess when someone calls in, they do the ol' pitch and switch, since the TiVo doesn't network or do the other features that D* DVR offers.
If only they would activate the networking feature for the TiVo.
The picture of the att TiVo box did have the att logo in it though.

Hulu Cconstantly Buffering.

The Hulu app on my Bolt seems to freeze every minute or so, I am assuming in order to buffer, and then resumes. All of the other streaming apps (Netflix, Amazon, Plex) on the Bolt work fine. The issue just seems limited to Hulu. My kids are at the point where they have made a game out of guessing what the person on screen is going to say when the play resumes.

Then when I go onto the Hulu app on my PS4 which is plugged into the same TV and hardwired to the same router as the Tivo, it works...

Reliable transfer of .TS files?

Has anyone found a reliable means to transfer Tivo files from Tivo to a pc without dropping video frames? I can't seem to find one. I never had any problems with non.TS files. Tivo Desktop and kmttg produce files that are inferior to what's on the Tivo. Thanks

TIVO screen formats were chosen in the days when TV's had SD resolution. But that isn't true anymore for many of us. You can stick more stuff on the screen of a 1080 line HDTV.

Wishlist searches are frequently hard to understand, because they show so little of the Title and description. You have to click on each entry to see details - and even then, long stuff is missing.

What I'd love to see is an option for half-size text, to let me see longer titles and descriptions. Also, the...

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but yesterday and today when my Roamio connected to tivo and downloaded the guide data it set the clock wrong. Yesterday it was 4 minutes too fast today it was 7. A quick connection again to the tivo service fixes it but still wtf is Rovi doing that they suddenly can't tell its 12:42 not 12:49. Last night i didn't even notice it until it screwed up all of my recordings. So now i have to not onlly make sure it actually downloads the data but...
