I've always had a 'Pawn Stars' season pass. With Record ALL, NEW Only. Worked fine for years.
Now, as I look in the TODO list, it is recording 20 a day, all day and night.
I looked closer and see the HSTRYHD listing for the episodes are mostly generic listings at night, and I know the Season Pass will record because it doesn't know if they are new or not.
But here is the problem, and why it used to work right and now does. The 'generic' episodes DO have original airdate, the one I looked at, recorded as new at 2:30am, has an orig air date of 07/14/09.
It looks like they are no longer looking at OAD as a parameter to determine they won't record as 'NEW'
THe only way to fix it is to turn off the season pass, and add a recurring manual recording for the new episode each week.
What a pain!!!
BTW, HSTRYHD is doing this for most shows shown daytimes, and overnight now, so I have literally DOZENS of Pawn Stars, American Pickers, etc- scheduled.
