I have two Premiere boxes. One shows up on the Tivo website as a "Tivo Premiere", while the other is "Premiere 400hr." These aren't the device names, I verified that. They are shown below the device ID/Serial number. The 15 digit serial number on the 400hr model is 'higher', and includes letters too, unlike the other, so I'd assume it is newer. The original activation date is 3 years older, however. Weird.
What's the difference? It seems like the 400hr model is a little faster than the other, maybe. I've been offered $99 lifetime on both boxes, but only need one. If one is better, from a hardware standpoint, I'd prefer going with it.
