I posted a similar question almost a year ago but I'd like some current advice. And the thread did kind of drift off from the main subject.
Anyway, I'm looking to buy a few switches for my network. I'm a little reluctant because I've heard some issues with "green" switches but it's all been hearsay.
So, I need three 8 port switches. Actually one of those could be a 5 port but I figured to just get three 8's. Main reason now is I need more ports for other devices, not tivo/mini.
I have one basic roamio and one mini with plans to add at least one more mini maybe within 3-6 months. Everything is wired. No moca.
Can anyone recommend something current? Most of everything I see are green switches which have me a little apprehensive. I have had issues with the mini seeing the roamio before and I don't want any more issues.
I don't want the cheapest out there but I can't afford three managed switches at the moment. If the roamio and mini could each plug into their own "dumb" switch and they go back to a managed switch then I would consider.
This one caught my eye but I just ran across it looking at reviews. And my router is also the same brand.
