Did the Tivo/Wii U integration never happen?

We got a Wii U last week and love it. Been seeing some information here and there about a TiVo integration. All I can find on Google is that it had gotten pushed back a year or two ago but I have never been able to find anything on it being released or officially cancelled. Did it just fade into the ether and will likely never materialize?
