I purchased a new Roamio and lifetime service. About 5 months in it the HDMI output stopped working. I called in they had me do the normal swap hdmi cables, ports on the tv, reboot try another tv. It wouldn't work. They sent me a replacement and that worked for about 3 months and just failed the same way. I called in again they had me do the same steps I mentioned above and it still wouldn't work. Tivo said they would swap out my unit again but if it happens again they would not cover it as it's a environmental issue.
I have my Vizio TV, Surround sound and dvd player all in the same area plugged into the same surge protector. There is plenty of ventilation the tivo is plugged direclty into the tv via the hdmi cable.
What do they expect me to do. I spent a lot on the unit and am embarrassed by Tivos response and lack of support. I want to keep using the tivo but if it fails again. I clearly think its a issue with the units they are sending me.
