Roku is unveiling a new feature where the user is able to monitor the release statuses of movies beginning when they are in theater.Say for instance the user chooses indie horror film "It Follows" which is in theaters now. The Roku will tell the user when it first appears on any service (likely Vudu and Amazon to buy), when its price drops, when it is available to rent, and another alert when it appears on a streaming service. This is a natural extension of the OnePass philosophy and I would love to have it on TiVo.
