OKAY… here we go this my 3rd times. This time Tivo stay on GSOD for long time I couldn’t get in KS 54 for diagnosis. I ran WD diagnosis tool it passed quick and extend test hmm.
The drive is WD20EURS 2TB was upgrade from original 320GB with JMFS 2TB was working great for 1 1/2 years
I had reboot loop to GSOD twice Sept 2014 and Nov 2014 I did ran WD diagnosis and KS 54 on Nov that did passed no issue. not making any sense WD diagnosis already passed I suspect about Tivo software release cause this issue ? i’m might be wrong. Now My 2 TB drive is under 3 warranty i haven’t got chance to call WD support for replacement I decide to get 2TB WD20EURX i hope i got this write would be waste of time. would apprentice anyone opinion what to make of this issue
1 thing i want to point out while it was GSOD i had unplug power and replug it then i got 4 lights blinking and I shut off. I turn off power for 15 mins later work normal then swap back original drive work fine.
it is TCD746320 I was gonna let’s 320GB run for few months to see what happen I didn’t want to take chance to lose original drive
