Ever wonder why Tivo never has Renewed Roamio OTA? I am going to take a guess..... that since the Roamio Basic and the Roamio OTA are the same unit.... EXCEPT for the Cable card housing that is in the Roamio Basic.
I Bet they take all the Roamio OTA's and install the cable card housing and in turn make them into a Renewed Roamio Basic.
I am going to take a guess and say that Tivo is blowing out all the Roamio Basics and will replace it with a Tivo Bolt (like most everyone else believes)..... and it will be their only OTA unit, and it will have Streaming built in, and subscription will cost $9.99 or less
Maybe they will add SlingTV, HBOGO etc to the apps
And also having the Roamio line-up with one that only does OTA and one that does OTA and Cable... It is very confusing :confused:
I am almost sure they do not make any $ on a Roamio OTA at $49.99 and I bet they will not keep this price point, So I will guess it will be $79.99 to $149.99
I am going Guess this is what Tivo will offer for the rest of 2015
