I just purchased a new Vizio 70" smart TV. It's capable of receiving UHD signals but I am seeing a lot of video coming in at 480i. Someone who seems to be tech savvy on a Vizio chat board told me that a 480i signal is "extremely rare these days" and at the very least, the signal should be 480p. When I explained my set up (TiVo Premiere connected to my TV via HDMI) he said the fault is that of the TiVo device and I must have something wrong in the settings. I have checked my video settings (TiVo Central -> Settings & Messages -> Settings -> Video) and for TV Aspect Ratio I have 16:9 Wide selected and for Video Output format I have 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p (pass-thru only) selected. Is the person on the Vizio chat board mistaken or is something amiss with my settings that is causing a significant number of channels to come in at 480i?
