Why is one pass defaulting to the SD channel?

I am in the program guide on NBC-HD channel, press the record button and then select create one pass and other options. When I get to the one pass options, it shows the NBC-SD channel as the default, then I need to change it back to the channel I was originally on.

Why is it doing this? Seems very error prone. Even if it goes say record the show in he if possible, I believe I still see the ad channel in the todo list.

Is there some way to fix this or is it a bug?
