We are moving to an area that has no cable service whatsoever and pretty slow internet, so our TV options are pretty limited. We are thinking about getting DirecTV but have enjoyed our TiVos for years. We currently have a Roamio OTA and an old Premiere.
If we go with DirecTV and get the TiVo receiver, can it stream shows to the other boxes? We're still in the first year contract for the Roamio and I plan to set up an OTA antenna anyway, but I'm curious if I can watch Directv recorded shows on the roamio like I do with cable shows recorded on the Premiere.
Are there any other features that the DirecTV receiver is missing that I would be used to between the roamio and premiere? (streaming features are not of interest to me since we will have such slow internet).
