Elite XL Tivo starts but no screen

I have an Elite XL. Last night when I went to use it, my TV showed a blue screen (indicating no input). The TiVo was on (green circle light was on), the remote worked (activated the light on the front panel when pushed) but nothing else seemed to work. I rebooted by unplugging and nothing has changed. Nothing seem to be recording (no red circle lights) since the last few hours (which is odd). I'll be checking HDMI cables and such today but I think this is a bigger problem. Hard to diagnose without even seeing a reboot screen. Any thoughts?
